About the SBA

The Stewartry Bowling Association started life in 1939 as the Kirkcudbrightshire Bowling Association; it was changed in 1973 to the Stewartry Bowling Association.

The aims of the association is - To foster and promote the game of bowls in the Stewartry of Kirkcudbright and to determine the conditions and rules for matches and competitions in which it may be agreed to engage.

All Bowling Clubs situated between the Rivers Nith and Cree shall be eligible for membership of the Association.

The President for 2010 is Graeme Maxwell from Castle Douglas and his Vice president is Arthur McFeggan from Spalding. Stevie Conchar from Castle Douglas is Secretary/Treasurer.
